Andrea Vélez is based in Bogotá, Colombia, and serves as an Investment and Business Analyst at Exagon Impact Capital. Prior to joining Exagon, Andrea worked as an Investment Intern at CrossBoundary Group, where she analyzed potential investments, supported investors, shareholder engagements, and prepared materials for high-quality transactions. In this role, Andrea is responsible for evaluating renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure investments, supporting transaction analysis, and contributing to investor relations, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information to facilitate capital commitments to the fund. Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance, with a double minor in Business Analytics and Economics, from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where she was a Division I student-athlete on the women’s golf team. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.

Manuela Velásquez is based in Bogotá, Colombia, and serves as an Investment Analyst. Before joining the firm, Manuela worked with the investment team at EnfraGen LLC, where she supported high-impact M&A transactions across Latin America’s energy sector, with exposure to the renewable energy and grid stability markets. In her current role, Manuela is responsible for financial modeling, investment evaluation, due diligence, and supporting multi-party negotiations, further strengthening her experience in the renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Universidad de los Andes and is fluent in Spanish, English, and German.

Alejandro Patiño is a Senior Associate at Exagon Impact Capital, based in Bogotá, Colombia, where he supports investments in renewable energy across Latin America. He brings over six years of experience in investment banking and project finance across renewable energy, infrastructure, technology, and the circular economy. Before joining Exagon, he was an Investment Officer at a solar PV developer, overseeing a 50+ MW pipeline under construction across Latin America. Prior to that, he spent four years at Credicorp Capital as an Investment Banking Associate, executing M&A, project finance, and structured debt transactions, including the financial close of Troncales del Magdalena, a US$1.3 billion infrastructure financing backed by IDB Invest, IFC, and CAF. Alejandro holds a degree in Finance and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia and is fluent in Spanish and English

Ximena Karaman is based in Bogotá, Colombia, and serves as an Investment Analyst. She supports the evaluation, analysis, and monitoring of current and prospective investments within the Fund. Prior to joining the firm, Ximena was an Investment Analyst at Proparco, the French development finance institution, where she focused on originating and analyzing debt investments. Her work spanned deal execution, portfolio monitoring, and market research across the Andean region, with an emphasis on sustainability-driven financing. Ximena holds a double-major bachelor’s degree in economics and government & public Affairs from Universidad de los Andes and is fluent in Spanish and English.

Gonzalo Ranea is based in Bogota, Colombia and has been with Exagon since the firm’s founding, responsible for developing the fund’s investment strategy, financial model, and conducting due diligence activities for fund investments. Gonzalo has over a decade of corporate finance experience, specializing in project finance and infrastructure investing for more than five years, with a deep knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sectors in Latin America and the Caribbean. In previous roles, he advised corporates and investors in energy and infrastructure projects, M&A transactions, and financing matters. Gonzalo has extensive experience leading financial model development, due diligence processes, and investment agreement negotiations for various renewable energy, telecom and transportation projects, such as the acquisition of a 4G Toll Road in Colombia. He has a Master's in Public-Private Partnerships from Universidad Internacional de la Rioja (Spain), a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) certification, and a Bachelor's in Economics with honors from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (Argentina). Gonzalo is originally from Argentina. He is fluent in Spanish and English, and conversational in Portuguese.

Paula Espitia is based out of Bogota, Colombia and serves as Exagon’s ESGI specialist. Prior to joining Exagon, Paula worked at AshmoreAVENIDA as an ESG/Impact Analyst responsible for implementing, updating, and monitoring ESG procedures aligned with the firm’s responsible investing strategy and international best practices. In this role, Paula was responsible for preparing the environmental and social impact assessment, environmental and social due diligence reports, and action plans for real estate and private equity projects managed by AshmoreAVENIDA. Earlier in her career, Paula worked as a budget analyst at Constructora Bolívar, the largest developer in Colombia by sales volume. Paula holds Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and is completing an executive graduate program at the same university for a Master’s in Environmental Management. Paula is certified by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as an EDGE Expert and holds certificates in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and ESG Criteria for Sustainable Management from Universidad Externado de Colombia.

Lukas Bogotá is based in Bogotá, Colombia, and serves as Director at Exagon Impact Capital. He is responsible for evaluating and executing fund investments across Latin America, with a focus on the renewable energy sector. He brings over five years of experience in investment execution and portfolio management, including direct principal investing, and has deep expertise in Latin America's energy markets. Prior to joining Exagon, Lukas served as Strategy & Investment Deputy Director at China Three Gorges Latin America (CTG), where he led investment activities in Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. During his time at CTG, he led the investment process for the company’s first 50 MW solar portfolio in Colombia, contributed to the underwriting of a 200+ MW hydro project in Peru, and worked on value-enhancement initiatives for a 500+ MW operating solar portfolio in Mexico. Earlier in his career, Lukas worked at Inverlink, one of Colombia’s leading investment banks, where he advised on transactions and projects in the energy, infrastructure, and logistics sectors. He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with First Class Honours from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá) and is fluent in Spanish and English.
