Michael Barth joins XIC’s Advisory Board

Exagon Impact Capital (“XIC”) is pleased to announce that Mr. Michael Barth has joined the asset manager as a member of the Advisory Board. 

Mr. Barth has a distinguished career in emerging markets investment and development. He is a Managing Partner of Barth & Associates LLC, an independent emerging markets investment advisory firm and is a member of several Boards of Directors, as well as Investment and Advisory Committees of emerging markets oriented banks and funds. Mr. Barth chairs the Development Finance Institutions Council of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) .

Previously, Mr. Barth  held different senior positions at Darby Overseas Investments Ltd., an emerging markets private equity specialist, after completing his term of almost six years as Chief Executive Officer of FMO, the international development bank of the Netherlands. During that time, Mr. Barth  also served as Chairman of the European Association of private sector-oriented Development Finance Institutions (EDFI). Prior to his tenure at FMO, Mr. Barth was Director of the Capital Markets Development Department at the World Bank and held several senior positions at the International Finance Corp (IFC), where he was responsible for investments in a wide range of financial sector intermediaries in Asia and Africa, Latin America and Central & Eastern Europe.
